The company arrived into Kyoto Station and wound their way up the mountain of Eastern Kyoto through Maruyama Park to Yoshimizu, a traditional japanese ryokan, surrounded by magical woods, shrines and temples. This is a photo that Oliver took on their first moonlit walk.

Thank you for posting the Japan tour photos!! I came across the blog accidentally while trying to doublecheck the tour dates. Last night [Fri Nov 30 Wisconsin time] I googled for images of some of the terms in the caption next to Oliver's temple photo. Found beautiful photos of the Yoshimizu Inn, Maruyama Park, Gion. Today [snowy, blustery in WI] I checked the blog again and found more photos...even found Anne! I am thrilled to have this chance to 'see' some of the tour without having to wait until the holidays. The photos are great! Thank you.
